Definitely one of the better government offices I've visited. You can also pay by card now for renewals and registration, somehow that slipped me. The lady that helped me was very friendly and efficient. There were 3 but they took about 10min to sort money and do paperwork before the first person was attended.

Once inside the building an attendant helps you to sort/check your documents, make copies of your ID and certify it if necessary. I heard a lady say over the phone, "at least there aren't many people here now." 😅 About 8h10 a lady came to devide everyone at the gate according to what service they need and to sanitize. So book a late afternoon time slot, be in the queue by 3 PM and you won't have to stand the queue the whole day! User ( 17:05) I arrived about 7h55 on a Tuesday morning in the middle of the month and there were already about 20 people in the queue. A lot of bribery going on with people paying security to jump the queues. They did however let into the building everyone in the queue at 3 PM when they closed, and I was all done 30 minutes later. or ask a fellow citizen, they extremely helpful User ( 22:32) Time slot was booked for 12:20 but was still in the line outside at 3 PM. however you have to basically figure out where to stand by yourself…. What a fantastic change :) User ( 18:59) For collection my drivers it was quick, the application wasn’t too long, about an hour. This was my first experience with a Government department in Meyerton, as we have just relocated from Johannesburg. What a pleasant experience, she was very helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to help me.

User ( 14:42) A big thank you to the lady at counter #6, Lindi Mokoena who assisted me on Thursday 8th July 2021, with a duplicate Vehicle Registration application. They cry because they have is no jobs, but when they have jobs they cannot be proud and work efficiently.

User ( 17:19) This department has not professionalism, employers are on the phone all the time ignoring everybody that waits in a queue for hours, employers are rude and arrogant, no respect whatsoever for the public that they should serve. It's always a pleasure to visit this place. Members of staff here are on top of their game. User ( 14:55) The most efficiently managed licensing facility among many.
